Moving Along

So Hubby and I are walking disasters today. Yesterday was not a good day for us! We were trying to get things done and cleaned up and were just doing too much.

  1. Bedroom Finished. Check!
  2. Bathroom Finished. Check!
  3. Garage Cleaned up. Check!
  4. Hubby slip on pile of garbage and require 3 stitches in his hand. Check!
  5. Debbie get whacked in the head with kick back from saw. No stitches needed. Check!

Lets just say after all that excitement our day stopped! Both of us were sore and decided in the best interest of keeping our selves alive we had best just stop for the day and we did! Today will be an easy day of dusting, mopping and vacuuming the house, as well as the ever needed laundry! Should keep us in tack and out of danger! :batman:

My scarves that I am knitting are growing ever so little. I have been trying to do a bit each night on each one. Still can’t decide which one to give as I like them all. But I am sure that whichever proves to be the fastest to get done might be the winner! Mouse over to see how they have grown!

I wandered out in the yard this week and took some pictures of my gardens. I made really good choices last year and so far everything is up and blooming or getting ready to bloom. My butterfly bushes have doubled in size, my bleeding hearts are just gorgeous and my hosta are huge! I captured some shots to share!

Many thanks to Catherine for such beautiful and unique stitch markers. I love seed beads and these are really fabulous. She also sent a bag of goodies. Tea, chocolates and other yummies. I like the White Rabbits best! Thank you again for such wonderful goodies!

Time certainly does not stand still! It is already May, people and Christmas right around the corner! Me I can’t get a simple birthday present done and I am already worried about Christmas!

Hubby and I should be able to post pictures this weekend of our new bedroom and bath! Lots of good stuff learned (like let a plummer do it!) to what a piece of cake this job was! A bit of a paint touch up in the bathroom, add a new cute rug and it will be done. The bedroom is patiently awaiting the edge trim and then hanging new closet doors, then it will be done! Whew, I am tired!

I received my swap partner for the Scarf Exchange I am participating in at Ravelry and have been busy starting some new projects on my needles. I am currently working on four designs to see which I think she might like when done. Here are shots of them starting out. I picked interesting but not too difficult designs as I am a very slow knitter and I have to have this in the mail by August 1. Seems like a long time I know but I also know it will pass very quickly!

I am still working on my new dressy shrug and some dishcloths. The dishcloths are for my kitchen so I am experimenting with color and texture! Also they will have to have coffee cups or pots on them since that is my kitchen theme!

I have the granddaughters birthday stuff 65% done and will focus on it this weekend since next weekend is her birthday! They will be stopping in as they drive to Orlando for the birthday fun!

I still have to come up with something for Hubby as his birthday is also in two short weeks. UGH! Overload for sure!

Time to go earn my keep. Have fun and take care!

Meet Soubi! My step-daughters cat and a new resident of our household. Hubby drove up to K-Town yesterday and brought the cat back down here. We have a vet appointment tomorrow morning to get things taken care of so this cat will fit in with the rest. So far no problems other than youth and that it is wasted on the young!

And finally before I drop an update on our decorating projects. Bathroom is tiled but still needs the edge work done. Bit more work there but it does look good. As for the bedroom floor I am so happy with it. This is my dream coming true. The work itself is pretty simple just a lot of bending over and getting up and down. We ran out of glue so did not get the whole floor done. What we did do took us about 4 and a half hours. I think we did good and I am so excited to be getting a wood floor and look forward to getting the rest of the house done. Just Not Today!
